Ever so often we tend to go through major shifts in our lives which propel us into the next phase. Our mindset and the way we react usually determines the course our lives will take for the next few years, and if we are complacent, for the rest of our lives. If like me you are not very comfortable with change, this could be quite unsettling. Over the last few years however I have learn to be still and let God take control of every situation. It isn’t exactly the easiest things to do, as the noise of the world is usually louder than that in your head, and it doesn’t help when the voice in your head is quite different from that in your heart. Notwithstanding it is still possible to find peace in the midst of turmoil and the most important things is to focus on God, the source of all things good. While you seek God’s counsel also remember that not every Goliath (bad situation) is meant to break you. Sometimes it is meant to test your faith, to shape you, to strengthen you and to humble you.
My dear friend Alari went on a short break to Italy a few weeks ago. During our visit we went to Venice to enjoy its sights and beauty. I had an amazing time making new memories, while reminiscing about the past and our plans for the future. Below are a few picture I took from our second day there…enjoy.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11
