STEM Women Sierra Leoneone launhes it’s Girls’ Mentorship program


STEM Women is a platform for women in the fields of Science, technology, Engineering or Mathematics in Sierra Leone. On Friday 10 September  the organisation officially launched it’s STEM Women Girls’ Mentorship program with 20 students from 10 schools in Freeetown including the Tower Hill Municipal School, Fourah Bay College Primary School, J. T Reffel French Memorial Primary School, Cockerill Preparatory School, Services Primary School, Martilie International School, Regent Road Baptist Primary School, Eva Houston Nursery and Preparatory School, Murraydeen Preparatory School and Sierra International Academy. Speakers at the event included Hon. Isata Kabia, Chairman of the Board, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and former Member of Parliament;  Prof. Aiah Gbakima, one of the country’s leading public health specialists; and Mrs. Yeniva Sisay-Sogbeh, founder of EXCEL Sierra Leone and president of Power Women 232.
