It has been a month since I started the MODE by Musu Kaikai clothing line, and just over two week since I launched my online store. The gowns have been retailing well in Sierra Leone and a few days ago I received my first online order. To say it feels awesome will be an understatement.
On 12 May it was my birthday and as always it was an opportunity to take stock of my life and how far I have come since my last birthday. 28 was quite a challenging year for me. However, as with many uncomfortable circumstances, it culminated in some of the most beautiful experiences of my life so far. My revamped blog, my online store, both personal and career growth, new friends, strengthened relationships...etc.
I am so grateful to God for how far He has taken me in the last year because truth be told, I do not think I would be standing without His grace, mercy and favour.
I literally woke up sometime last year and decided that I was tired of controlling my circumstance. Handing over my life to God and trusting Him to direct my steps has let me through the most beautiful path. I'm going to be honest and say its not the easiest journey, and I do fall several times. However, it is worth it.
I am so grateful to be surrounded by a wonderful family, amazing friends, a job I love and a business I am having so much fun growing. If I could do this all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.
