You know how growing up your parents would sometimes dress you up in outfits you weren’t particularly keen and you would always find one way or the other to get out of wearing them. Well back in secondary school my friends would sometimes invite me to their church and my Grandmother being the fashionista that she is always had one elaborate hat to go with my Sunday best. Wanting to look cool, I would always hide it in the cupboard until after church and pretend like I actually wore it out. Fast-forward 10 years later and I cannot get enough of hats, especially when I am away on vacation. I love how they transform an outfit from simple to classic and give the illusion of poise and grace.
