Kenya has a budding art scene and my sister Wokie and I had quite a lot of fun exploring it. On one of our less busy days, we visited one of the art galleries in Village Market Mall.
One thing that really struck me about the paintings in the gallery was how similar Kenyan art is to Ugandan, Rwandan and East African art in general. Paintings were mainly illustrations of everyday life, wildlife and quite a few abstracts.
If you're in Kenya, do stop by the galleries and museums, they offer a great insight into life and culture in Kenya.
